TOKYO—MOL PLUS (CEO: Takuya Sakamoto; Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo) today announced that Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President & CEO: Takeshi Hashimoto; Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo) has donated WOTA BOX (A portable water reuse system) and WOSH (A water reuse hand-wash stand) to seven municipalities throughout Japan. The products were developed and provided by WOTA Corp. (President and CEO: Maeda; Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo), in which MOL PLUS has invested.
This donation was made under the in-kind donation mechanism of the corporate version of the Furusato (hometown) tax system. WOTA systems were provided to seven municipalities (Note 1) that have close ties to the MOL Group. MOL Group will continue to reinforce disaster-prevention countermeasures and revitalization measures for local communities and promote further partnerships with WOTA.
