Open discussion at the event
The objective of the event was to promote communication and network in the maritime startup ecosystem, with an eye toward fostering startup investments and business collaborations. The event was held at the MOL Marina Lounge at MOLAO’s newly renovated headquarters, and marked the first time MOL PLUS has hosted such a large-scale event. The event attracted various stakeholders including government officials related to maritime startups such as the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), local corporate venture capital (CVC) and venture capital (VC) firms, maritime startups from around the world (including the finalists in the Smart Port Challenge 2024 (Note 1), of which MOL PLUS serves as a venture capital partner), and many others. Various discussions unfolded in an informal atmosphere, which served to further accelerate investment collaboration activities, such as the exchange of ideas and the promotion of partnerships and collaborations.
MOL PLUS continually works to generate synergetic effects based on startup companies’ innovative ideas and technologies and the MOL Group’s resources through investment in and collaboration with startups, aiming to create new businesses PLUS new value to the ocean shipping industry and society.
