(MOL; President & CEO: Takeshi Hashimoto, Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo) has announced that this is the first case in the world to obtain ClassNK certification for voluntary Onboard Fire Prevention Measures.

One of the most advanced initiatives to gain certification was the introduction of Captain's Eye's smoke recognition cameras and AI systems. The Captain's Eye system was installed on the cargo hold of new ships, including the CERULEAN ACE LNG-fueled car Carrier operated by Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, for early detection of fires.
